Not only did the Jeff Ruby Stakes draw a full field of 3-year-olds, so too did the upcoming Rushaway - an appealing betting race, no matter who you like. The race has a mixture of horses from all over the country and there are prices galore.

My choice is Ontario-bred Alternative Route (7), who is by an elite synthetic sire in Tiznow, and seems to be in this race to see if he likes the synthetic. If so, a race like the Queen's Plate at Woodbine could be in his future.

He should sit a nice trip stalking the pace in a race with gobs of pace. He is 11-1 with 20 minutes to post, though I expect him to drop from that price.
