Sniper Kitten somehow managed to re-assert himself after relinquishing the lead to a couple of rivals in deep stretch of the 10th race, sticking his nose down in front of hard luck loser Divide right on the wire under strong handling by Emisael Jaramillo.  Solid, the even money favorite, seemed to get pinched and put in tight quarters at mid-stretch while joining the leaders and could not quite sustain his rally in the closing yards, narrowly fending off Say the Word for third.  Sniper Kitten another Ken and Sarah Ramsey homebred trained by Mike Maker.
