It looked like Manny Franco was on his way to a fifth win on the card aboard 7-5 fave Dune Buggy but Forres Lily, at 1-for-22 in her career, came with a late run under Junior Alvarado and got up by the slimmest of noses to take the finale. Sent off at 16-1, Forres Lily returned $35.60
Forres Lily was second winner on card for trainer Gary Contessa.
The victory triggered a pick-6 carryover of $20,599 into Friday's card.
Franco finished with four wins and three seconds from eight mounts.
