There was a very ugly looking three-horse spill in the ninth race at Parx on Monday.

Love Rules broke down on the far turn of the six-furlong, $25,000 starter allowance race under jockey Jose Flores. The Pooch and jockey Ruben Silvera could not avoid the fallen horse and also went down. Easy River threw jockey Carol Cedeno while altering course around the two fallen horses.

Silvera was not badly hurt and returned to the jockeys' room under his own power. Cedeno was taken to Aria Jefferson Torresdale Hopital in Philadelphia, reportedly complaining of neck pain. Flores reportedly was knocked unconscious in the spill and also taken to the hospital.

Love Rules was euthanized, The Pooch was vanned from the track, and Easy River completed the course riderless and was caught by the outriders.
