Three-year-old Jersey Justice made a grand pre-race impression post-parading for his 3-year-old debut in race 5 at Fair Grounds, and ran to his looks, relaxing beautifully off three front-runners for jockey Florent Geroux, then blowing them away in the homestretch. He ran six furlongs in 1:10.62 and won by several lengths over first-level allowance foes and $50,000 claimers. Tom Amoss trains Jersey Justice, who has three important letters denoting the state where he was bred: I-N-D. Jersey Justice won two rich Indiana-bred stakes races last year as a 2-year-old, and from the look of things Wednesday, he can make a lot of hay at Indiana Grand this summer when their statebred-restricted stakes schedule kicks into gear.
