Santa Anita has cancelled Thursday's eight-race program because of wet conditions and expectations of significant rainfall through the day

The decision was announced at 9:35 a.m. First post time was scheduled for noon, Pacific.

Racing will resume on Friday with an eight-race program, beginning at noon, Pacific. Track officials expect to add races to upcoming programs, beginning Sunday, to offset the races lost on Thursday.

Thursday's program was rapidly losing runners through the morning. As of 9:30 a.m., there were 15 late scratches.
