Copper Bullet to Pat Day Mile, Principe Guilherme recovering from bone bruising but back in summer, per Asmussen

Got quick updates this morning from trainer Steve Asmussen on a couple of his promising 3-year-olds who were pulled from the Derby trail earlier this year.

Copper Bullet, idle since the Saratoga Special, is back working regularly at Fair Grounds and assuming he has no setbacks the Pat Day Mile on Derby Day at Churchill Downs May 5 is his targeted return, Asmussen said.

Also, Principe Guilherme is getting time off after finishing seventh last month in the Risen Star. Asmussen said bone bruising was diagnosed by noted veterinarian Dr. Larry Bramlage, so he's getting some R & R and owner/breeder Three Chimneys Farm but should be back for a summer and fall campaign.

Much more detail in a story to be posted soon to www.drf.com.
