Shotgun Kowboy ($5.40) dueled early, disposed of his pace rival and had more in the stretch to win Friday's allowance feature at Oaklawn. 

Hence, a closer making his first start since September, finished fourth. 

Shotgun Kowboy covered the mile and a sixteenth distance on a fast track in 1:42.93. Luis Quinonez was aboard for trainer C.R. Trout. 

The win was the second allowance score at the meet for Shotgun Kowboy, who became a millionaire earlier this season at Oaklawn.
