Split Time runs down Our Super Nova to take Maddie May

Junior Alvarado was able to extricate Split Time (even $ fave) from the rail at the eighth pole and she was able to run down Our Super Nova to win the $100,000 Maddie May Stakes by three-quarters of a length.

Under Suspicion set the pace and faded to fourth.

Linda Rice trains the winner, a daughter of Take Charge Indy, for Tic Stables.

Order of finish: 2-5-3-1-4

Maddie May, by the way, was a three-time stakes-winning New York-bred filly trained by Todd Pletcher. Why there's a stakes race named in her honor I have no idea.
