Jockey Asa Espinoza won two races for the first time in his career on Saturday.
Espinoza, 18, won the first race for $25,000 claimers with Little Scotty ($8.80) and the sixth race for maiden claimers with Palace Paynter ($11.60). The young rider has a famous uncle - jockey Victor Espinoza.
Espinoza began riding in February and claims a 10-pound allowance - for now. After his fifth career win, the allowance is reduced to seven pounds until his 35th career win.
Espinoza has one more mount on Saturday - Avaudrey (1) in the 10th race for $12,500 claimers. Avaudrey is a 20-1 outsider on the morning-line.
