Aqueduct: Trainer Randi Persuad pulls second upset in first three races with $19 Desert Affair

There were three 2-1 shots in the third at Aqueduct - Classic Stones, Our Whim & Sand City - but 8-1 Desert Affair ran them off ther feet to win by about 8 lengths.

Desert Affair is owned and trained by Randi Persuad, who upset race 1 with $31 winner Bunyaan.

Desert Affair, who was ridden by seven-pound apprentice Kevin Mendez, paid $19.
