Fahan Mura, a 4-year-old English Channel filly, joined trainer Vladimir Cerin's stable over the winter and has been one of the most productive runners in his stable.
Sunday, Fahan Mura ($16.60) won her third consecutive race in an optional claimer at a mile on turf in Sunday's fourth race. Riddne by Edwin Maldonado, Fahan Mura led throughout and stormed clear through the stretch to win by 7 1-4 lengths over even-money favorite Siberian Iris.
Fahan Mura has won 5 of 15 starts. She was previously trained by Christophe Clement and John Toscano. Prior to joining Cerin, Fahan Mura had lost six consecutive starts sine a $40,000 claimer for non-winners of two at Belmont Park last June.
Fahan Mura races for Bran Jam Stable and David Clark and was acquired by them in a $40,000 claimer at Saratoga last August. Fahan Mura won two $32,000 claiming races on Jan. 26 and Feb. 19 leading to Sunday's win. This year, Fahan Mura has earned $71,400.
