Sporting Chance, the winner of last year's Grade 1 Hopeful, put in a sharp work Tuesday at Oaklawn.
The track was fast and temperatures were in the low 70s.
Sporting Chance came onto the track first set, accompanied by a pony, and after warming up went into his drill. He worked five-eighths of a mile by himself in 59.20 seconds. The move was the fastest of nine at the distance Tuesday at Oaklawn.
