This late in the Gulfstream meet and you can still get $12.20 on a horse trained by Todd Pletcher and ridden by Lus Saez.
Cosmic Halo, making his first start on turf, his first as a gelding and his first for Pletcher, surrendered the lead briefly to Hey Howie in mid-stretch and came back to win this maiden $35,000 claiming event on the turf.
The win was the second on the card for Saez, who somehow won the bob on Broomhill ($7.60) over Don't Over Look in the opener.
Saez, who will win his second straight Gulfstream Park riding title, now has 127 wins at the meet. He is five shy of Javier Castellano's record of 132 wins set at the 2013-14 Championship meet. This meet ends Sunday.
Meanwhile, Pletcher long ago wrapped up his 15th straight Gulfstream Park trainer's title. The victory with Cosmic Halo was his 61st of the meet.
