Golden Mischief and Ministry were dominant winners of the allowance races on the special Wednesday card at Oaklawn.
Golden Mischief ($4.20) moved into the overnight ranks for the first time since September 2016 and rolled to an eight and a quarter length win in the eighth race, an optional claiming sprint for fillies and mares. She attended fractions of 22.29 seconds for the opening quarter and 45.94 for the half-mile before covering six furlongs on a fast track in 1:08.77. Late last year, Golden Mischief covered the same distance in 1:08.53 when winning the $50,000 Flashy Lady at Remington Park.
Ministry ($4) ran her record at the 2018 meet to 3-for-3 when she rolled to a five and a half length victory in an allowance for Arkansas-bred fillies and mares in the sixth race. She was making her two-turn debut and was content to stalk the pace before going on to win the mile and a sixteenth race in 1:44.96.
