In winning the second race Saturday at Keeneland with Caymans Cobra, Gabe Saez improved his record at the current Keeneland meet to 5 for 15 - making him perhaps the biggest surprise here in terms of jockeys. With the backing of trainers Larry Jones and Bret Calhoun, he is getting opportunities here on a number of capable Fair Grounds invaders - and those horses have been outrunning their odds on a regular basis. A $2 wager on each of his first 15 mounts of this meet would have left a bettor ahead by $27.20.
Corey Lanerie and Florent Geroux - other Fair Grounds jockeys - are also riding high at the meet with the former having 8 victories and the latter 6 heading into the Saturday card.
