Cartwheel, in her fifth career start, successfully stretched out from six furlongs to a mile, saving all the ground under Joe Bravo, before tipping out in upper stretch -- and bumping lightly with Dancingwithdaffodls -- and drawing off down the lane to get her maiden victory over the pace-setting longshot Anne's Song.

Linda Rice trainees Pursuing Justice, the slight 2-1 fave over her first-time starter Silveratta Road, finished fifth and last, respectively. Pursuing Justice had a wide trip but offered nothing in the stretch. Silveratta Road broke a step slow and was playing catch-up from then on before fading.
