As expected, Alliford Bay had an easy time winning the $50,000 Brighhouse Belles. She paid $2.50.

She broke on top from the outside post in 6 1/2 furlong dash for fillies and mares that drew seven horses. Jockey Rico Walcott eased her into a stalking position while keeping her in the clear going into the first turn. She moved into serious contention going into the second turn, and that was that as she drew off from her overmatched rivals. Good Luck to You came from a stalking position to finish second.
