As expected, very few Kentucky Derby entrants out there this morning during the 15-minute reserved training window that opened the track today. My Boy Jack and Hofburg both went for light gallops. Bravazo jogged with a pony, also accompanied by stablemate Sporting Chance, who runs in the Pat Day Mile today.
The rest of the Derby horses merely walked the shedrow.
A light rain began to fall at about 6:45 and is still persisting in the area, and the track was open (not sealed) for training, which ended you at 7:30. We'll be updating you throughout the day on weather, track conditions, and what Derby horses are set to handle those conditions.
