Charlie McCoy, a half-brother to My Boy Tate, wins race 5 at Belmont

Nice maiden win by Charlie McCoy, who like his half-brother, My Boy Tate, was bred by his trainer, Michelle Nevin, and is owned by Nevin and Little Red Feather Stable.

My Boy Tate won a pair of New York-bred stakes this winter, the Say Florida Sandy and Holie Hughes.

Both Charlie McCoy and My Boy Tate are out of the mare Backslash, who won one of three starts for owner Paul Pompa Jr.and trainer Rick Dutrow Jr. in 2010-2011.

Charlie McCoy was sired by Bluegrass Cat. My Boy Tate is by Boys of Toscanova.
