The seventh race Sunday at Lone Star Park is the start of a $50,000 guaranteed late pick four that includes the featured Grade 3, $200,000 Steve Sexton Mile.
The turf is firm and the main track is fast. There are a few scratches in the sequence. In the seventh race scratch No. 10, Eurofelon; in the eighth take out No. 8, Ragtag Circus; and in the 10th take out No. 12, Okavango Alfa.
(One note on the fifth, a $15,000 claiming turf race over a mile and a sixteenth won by Peej in a posted time of 1:40.43. Lone Star has announced a corrected time of 1:41.60.)
