There was a carryover of $44,298 into the Sunday card at Belmont, and when the dust settled the $2 wager returned $101,882.
The Sunday pick six winners were Im the Captain Now ($33.60), Breaking the Rules ($8.40), Neoclassic ($8.70), Pacific Wind ($5), Slim Shadey ($9.40), and Skyler's Lil Cutie ($4.50).
Five winners returned $322.
The posted will-pay to Skyler's Lil Cutie before the final race was $203,764. That, however didn't take into consideration a scratch that was made prior to race 8. The ticket selecting the scratched horse was switched to the wagering favorite, which was Skyler's Lil Cutie. When she won, there were two winning tickets.
One of the tickets was purchased at a Nassau County OTB on Long Island. The other was purchased through XpressBet.
Irad Ortiz Jr. won four races of the 10 Sunday races. He won race 1 with Lipstickonmycollar ($3.30) for Chris Englehart; race 6 on Breaking the Rules for Shug McGaughey; race 8, the Grade 2 Ruffian, on Pacifific Wind for Chad Brown; and race 10 on Skyler's Lil Cutie for Michelle Nevin.
