Apprentice jockey Asa Espinoza has won three races on a program for the first time on Thursday.
He could have a four-timer. Espinoza, 18, rides True Testament in the eighth race, a maiden claimer on the hillside turf course. True Testament (1) is a 14-1 chance with 17 minues to post.
Espinoza, the nephew of jockey Victor Espinoza, has won 17 races since his career began earlier this year.
Earlier this afternoon, Espinoza won the fourth race on Princess Leia ($6.40), the sixth race on Mojgan ($29) and the seventh race on Time and Chance ($15.60).
