Currently ON the "good" turf course (10.5 GS) on this rainy day, in lane 5. The Tapeta was a little slow before the break this morning, but it seemed to quicken after the renovation break.
Gentleman Jackson is scratched from the sixth. His trainer, Marty Drexler, got a postive test for the class 3 drug Clenbuterol from Sweet Little Man, who finished first on May 6. His Sunday entrants are also expected to be scratched because of this, including Blurricane in the Ballade Stakes.
The other two early scratches are Victor's Flag and Fahrenheit in the 10th. Both were re-entered on the skimpy holiday Monday card.
The Canadian-breds in the G3 Selene Stakes are prepping for the $500K Woodbine Oaks, including Dixie Moon, who figures to rebound off a subpar showing at Keeneland. Go Noni Go won her last outing at Turfway, the G3 Bourbonette Oaks. for trainer Mike Maker.
The Jackpot Hi 5 carryover is nearly $30K.
