Short stakes fields are the order of the day for Saturday's racing at Churchill Downs, where only seven fillies and mares were entered in the Keertana and six in the Winning Colors, the day's Grade 3 feature.
Golden Mischief, coming off a 101 Beyer Speed Figure in winning an allowance last month at Oaklawn, looms a prohibitive favorite in the Winning Colors, a six-furlong dirt race in which a couple of the entrants - were also entered in a stakes races at Prairie Meadows this week. A four-time stakes winner, she is aiming for her first graded victory.
This year marks the first year in which she has raced for owner Juddmonte Farm and trainer Brad Cox. Steve Asmussen previously trained her for owners Bill and Corinne Heiligbrodt.
