After an hour and 15 minute delay, Pimlico canceled its last six races Sunday.
A thunder and lightning storm passed through the region, turning the main track to slop. Races 6 and 8 were moved from the turf to the main track before the cancellation decision was made.
The horses for race 5 walked the paddock for about an hour awaiting the resumption of racing, which never came.
There will be mandatory payouts Monday on the Rainbow 6, late pick five, and the Super Hi 5. Monday is closing day of the Pimlico meet. Laurel Park reopens Friday.
There will be a Rainbow 6 carryover of $279,837 into the Monday card. The wager remains a 20-cent bet. Tickets selecting the most winners will split the pool. Normally, the Rainbow 6 carryover is not paid out unless there is a single winning ticket.
The late pick five will have a carryover of $8,174.
