Frontrunners continue to do well over the Belmont turf courses as class-dropping War Bond ($6.30) makes the front leaving the gate and led at every call, holding off the late-running Lucky Ramsey by a head to take this $32,000 claimer.

The turf courses today are labeled good and the rails on the inner turf -- over which this race was run -- is out a ridiculous 35-feet. The rails on the Widener turf are out 27 feet.
