Agi's Cait made an early wide move to the lead in Arlington's race 2, opened an insurmountable mid-stretch lead, and was eased under the wire by jockey Jesse Campbell, still winning by 6 1/2 lengths, an especially wide margin for a 4 1/2-furlong race. Good stuff from this 2-year-old filly, trained for George Mellon's Mellon Patch Inc by Campbell's dad, Mike Campbell. Agi's Cait, by Tale of the Cat out of Let It Go Lady, by Cherokee Run, was a 2-year-old in training purchase for $250,000 earlier this year. This was Agi's Cait's second start, and in her first race she proved no match for the Larry Rivelli-trained O'Keeffe. Agi's Cait improved today, but even taking that into account she flattered O'Keeffe, who is likely to make her next start in the Prairie Gold Lassie at Prairie Meadows.
