Got Stormy, confidently handled by John Velazquez, sat just off a dawdling pace and kicked clear in the stretch to win Saturday's $100,000 Wild Applause at Belmont Park. The lone stakes winner in the field of five, she drew away to win by two lengths, doing so despite swapping leads down the lane. She raced a mile on a firm turf course in 1:34.93, paying $5.40 as the favorite.

Punked edged Brattata for the runner-up spot.
