Jockey Geovanni Franco, who finished second in the standings at the spring-summer meeting at Santa Anita that ended last Sunday, will not ride the next few weks at Los Alamitos.
Franco has been diagnosed with a tender knee and may ride on the racing week starting on July 12, according to his agent, James Giannone. The main focus is a return for the Del Mar summer meeting, which begins on July 18, Giannone said.
Franco had one mount on Thursday - Silken Spy (5) in the seventh. Evin Roman is the replacement rider.
