Miss Technicality came with a rush in the stretch to upset this maiden turf race for 2-year-olds at 9-1. She kicked off the pick-6 that had $720,914 new money in pool on top of a carrover of $171,079.
Miss Technicality, ridden by Joel Rosario, rallied from midpack which was nice to see as many of the turf races have been won by horses that have been on or close to the lead. Perhaps the little bit of rain we had this morning helped the turf course.
Miss Technicality kept trainer Christophe Clement on quite the roll as he has now won eight of the last 17 races in which he's participated at Belmont Park. He also sent out Andrea's Pride, who finished fifth.
Clement now has 16 wins at the meet, tying him for third with Todd Pletcher. Chad Brown leads all trainers with 31 wins with Rudy Rodriguez second with 18.
