Americium, at 4-5, was a length and a quarter winner over 10-1 shot Holiday's Angel in the $50,000 Opelousas on Friday night at Evangeline Downs. 

Americium ($3.80) covered a mile on firm turf in 1:37.76. She was one of four winners on the card for jockey Tim Thornton, and one  of three on the program for trainer Karl Broberg.
