O Dionysus broke Revved Up's 15-year-old 1 1/2-mile turf course record at Delaware Park in the $75,000 Cape Henlopen Stakes, holding on by a head over 7-1 Decisive Triumph.
O Dionysus was stretching out from 1 1/16 mile to 1 1/2 miles in the Cape Henlopen. He is now a perfect 3 for 3 on turf for trainer Gary Capuano and paid $9.80 in the nine-horse field.
O Dionysus was timed in 2:25 4/5, breaking Revved Up's course receord of 2:26.46.
