The only Tapit in the FTK July sale catalog sold for $155,000, well below the advertised stud fee of $300,000 for America’s leading sire. The yearling colt was slight of stature and substance, the reasons for his sale price. He was bought by Pike Racing, agent. The colt is a half-brother to Group 3 winner Maftool.
