Jockeys Santiago Gonzalez and Tiago Pereira were taken from the track in ambulances after a two-horse spill in Thursday's second race.
Templar, ridden by Pereira, was racing on the rail at the back of a field of $8,000 claimers when he took a series of odd steps and unseated his rider. I'll Wrap It Up, ridden by Gonzalez, was racing directly behind Templar and could not avoid his rival. I'll Wrap It Up fell, unseating Gonzalez.
The two horses ran down the stretch.
Pereira was on his feet within a few moments and walked into an ambulance. Gonzalez was attended to by ambulance personnel and was taken from the track on a stretcher into a seperate ambulance.
More information on the riders will be provided as soon as available.
