Jockeys Santiago Gonzalez and Tiago Pereira will not ride the remainder of Thursday's program after being involved in a two-horse spill in the second race.

Pereira has been transported to UC-Irvine after complaining of chest pain, stewards said. Gonzalez asked to be excused from his mounts, stewards said.

In the fourth race, Martin Pedroza will ride Pereira on La Galy (5).

Both had mounts in the fifth race, but no replacement riders had been named as of 2:07 p.m., Pacific.
