Raider is the favorite to win the $50,000 R. K. (Red) Smith for 3-year-old fillies, but Canadian Hall of Fame trainer Red Smith could win the race named after him with Madam Bullet.

Madam Bullet improved substantially when she streched out to a mile in a first-level allowance race June 17, and ran out of real estate when she finished third going the same distace in an allowance race won by Raider June 30. She gets an extra 16th to work with tonight and Raider's stablemate, Suzette, should set an honest pace in her first route attempt.
