Lady of Miracles, dropping into a maiden claiming race for the first time, scored as the 3-5 favorite in the Belmont opener, but did not make it back to get her picture taken.

Jockey Dylan Davis jumped off the filly after she galloped out and Lady of Miracles was vanned off. Third winner in nine days for trainer Mike Miceli, the second one who didn't make it back for a photograph. On July 5, A Dixie Twister won but had issues with the heat and was vanned off.

Meanwhile, Third Card Down was a late scratch after unseating Rajiv Maragh at teh gate. Third Card Down ran off but was caught by an outrider and was seemingly unscathed. Maragh appeared to be okay as well.
