Imperial Hint worked a bullet half-mile at Parx on Saturday in 46.98 seconds, which should result in a start next weekend in the Grade 1, $350,000 Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap at Saratoga.
Trainer Luis Carvajal said Imperial Hint cooled out well after the work, and if he comes out of it in good shape, will proceed to the six-furlong Vanderbilt.
In his last work July 7, Imperial Hint pulled off a hind shoe, which left him with a tender foot. He then had a minor stall accident and missed five days of training and a workout last weekend.
Imperial Hint won the Grade 2 True North at Belmont Park by a neck over Whitmore in his most recent race. The True North put Imperial Hint over the $1 million mark in earnings and was his 10th win from 16 starts. He finished second by a length to Roy H in last fall's Breeders' Cup Sprint.
