Imperial Hint came out of his bullet half-mile workout at Parx on Saturday in good condition and is on target to start in the Grade 1, $350,000 Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap next weekend at Saratoga.
Trainer Luis Carvajal said he would likely ship Imperial Hint to Saratoga late Thursday afternoon for Saturday's six-furlong Vanderbilt.
Imperial Hint worked a half-mile at Parx in 46.98 seconds Saturday. In his prior work on July 7, Imperial Hint pulled off a hind shoe, which left him with a tender foot. He then had a minor stall accident and missed five days of training and a workout last weekend.
Imperial Hint won the Grade 2 True North at Belmont Park by a neck over Whitmore in his most recent race. The True North put Imperial Hint over the $1 million mark in earnings and was his 10th win from 16 starts. He finished second by a length to Roy H in last fall's Breeders' Cup Sprint.
