Del Mar: Matt Garcia to ride Back Beauty

Back Beauty (3) will be ridden by Matt Garcia at 118 pounds in Friday's first race. Garcia replaces Cesar Franco, who was originally scheduled to carry 113 pounds as an apprentice with a five-pound claim. The apprentice allowance is waived because of the jockey change.
