Our Independence (12) seemingly had a tough draw when entries were published for Wednesday's fourth race, a turf sprint. 

A few scratches have brightened the outlook for the 6-year-old gelding. Our Independence will break from post 7 in a field of eight. Trained by Bob Hess, Jr., Our Independence will have his California debut on Wednesday. He previously raced at Belmont Park where he won a $25,000 claimer at six furlongs on turf on June 16.

Our Independence runs from off the pace, and will be in pursuit Mr Cruze (8), who is unbeaten and a runner with ample speed. 

Our Independence is 6-1, while Mr Cruze is 8-5 with 16 minutes to post.
