Archumybaby ($12.80) came back on Satin Sheets to win the opener under Jomar Garcia as the rider won with his first ever mount at Saratoga. Garcia rides primarily at Parx.

Garcia had to withstand an objection from David Cohen, the rider of runner-up Satin Sheets, who alleged interference leaving the starting gate.

While Archumybaby did come out at the start, she also opened the door in the stretch for Cohen to rally Satin Sheets on through. Satin Sheets grabbed the lead in mid-stretch but couldn't seal the deal.

The stewards let the result stand and in this instance I would have done the same.

Ironically, Cohen will probably ride Archumybaby next time as the filly was claimed for $25,000 by Robertino Diodoro, for whom Cohen riders regularly. Archumybaby was trained for this race by Mertkan Kantarmaci.
