Mr Freeze broke sharply under Robby Albarado, made the front from an outside draw, turned away a challenge from High North and stormed home to an eight-length win in the Grade 3, $500,000 West Virginia Derby on Saturday at Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack, and Resort. Draft Pick edged High North for second while favored Once On Whiskey never got involved.
