Monte Man wins sixth straight race in Louisiana Cup Sprint on Saturday at Louisiana Downs

Monte Man, at 6-5, won his sixth straight race Saturday, when he held off a charging Cheers to Berti in the $60,000 Louisiana Cup Sprint at Louisiana Downs. The winner covered six furlongs on a fast track in 1:10.17. Gerard Melancon was aboard for Ivery Sisters Racing and trainer Ron Faucheux.
