Overseas shippers Century Dream and Circus Couture for the Arlington Million, Nyaleti for the Beverly D., and Bandua and Ming for the Secretariat all got out of international quarantine on Monday and went to the Arlington track for easy training on Tuesday morning. A sixth horse arrived with that group here Saturday, Platinum Warrior, but Platinum Warrior did not train Tuesday. His connections said Platinum Warrior developed what was termed a minor shipping fever Sunday, but the colt, who is to be entered later this morning in the Secretariat Stakes, was feeling better Tuesday and was expected to be moved today from the USDA quarantine facility on the Arlington backstretch to the standard barn set up for international shippers here. Platinum Warrior's connections plan to train him Wednesday.
Aidan O'Brien's shippers from Ireland arrived Monday and remain in the USDA quarantine facility. All O'Brien's pre-entrants shipped: Deauville for the Million, Athena for the Beverly D., and Hunting Horn and Lucius Tiberius for the Secretariat.
As of Tuesday the only other horses on the grounds pre-entered in Saturday's Grade 1s are Twenty Four Seven, a longshot in the Million; Pont to Gard and Real Story, the pair of Ignacio Correas-trained 3-year-olds for the Secretariat; and the Chris Block-trained Secretariat hope, Captivating Moon.
The flight carrying East Coast horses -- most of them trained by Chad Brown -- was due to arrive late Tuesday.
