Del Mar: Watch Me Burn should show speed

Watch Me Burn can become the rare two-time winner in the first half of the meeting if she repeats her opening week performance in Friday's sixth race - a starter allowance for 2-year-old fillies.

Trained by Val Brinkerhoff, Watch Me Burn (6) led throughout a maiden claimer at 5 1-2 furlongs on July 19 and has drwn a favorable post for this race, in post 6. Jockey Alonso Quinonez stays on. Baby Frankie (1), who drew the rail, is a threat. She represents the first of trainer Keith Desormeaux's two wins at the meeting. His stable is due for a breakthrough. Baby Frankie won a maiden claimer on July 20.
