Wesley Ward entered three in the $100,000 New Bolton Landing Stakes. He scratched the morning-line favorite Shang Shang Shang and ran 1-2 with Stillwater Cover (10-1) beting Chelsea Cloisters (9-5).

Stillwater Cove, under meet-leading rider Irad Ortiz Jr., was an up close third, widest of all. Turning for home she was 3-to-4 wide but easily ran by her pace-setting stablemate to win by 1 3-4 lengths. Chelsea Cloisters finished 1 1-4 lengths clear of Elsa, the 6-5 favorite, for second.

Fightress, Drynachan and Avocado Twist completed the order of finish.

Stillwater Cove, a daughter of Quality Road, ran 5 1-2 furlongs in 1:03.26 and returned $22.40 to win.
