DEVILS DANCE (7) put forth a winning effort in her career debut for Craig Lewis - unfortunately for her, Boujie Girl happened to also be entered in that spot and was just a bit better than her on July 26. Boujie Girl returned to earn a 84 Beyer in her next start against stakes company, while Devils Dance moves up from the high-level maiden claiming level to the maiden special weight ranks; I think she's going to be very difficult to deal with this afternoon, even if she doesn't move forward significantly. If she does move forward, she's strictly the horse to beat.
I'm a bit surprised about the solid early money TRUE VALIDITY (3) is taking for Simon Callaghan, as her two lifetime starts haven't been anything to write home about. The early money is enough that I'm taking notice, but it doesn't change my opinion that this is Devils Dance's race to lose. Devils Dance is currently 2-1 with 16 MTP.
