Fashion Business made a bold move heading into the far turn under Flavien Prat and continued strongly all the way to the wire to crush his rivals in the Grade 2, $250,000 Del Mar Handicap, a 1 3/8-mile turf race that is a "Win and You're In" for the Breeders' Cup Turf Nov. 3 at Churchill Downs.
Fashion Business ($10.20) won by 5 1/4 lengths, the result never in doubt through the lane.
Ya Gotta Wanna, a 45-1 shot, rallied to be second after getting stopped badly inside in traffic on the far turn.
Both the top two finishers are trained by Phil D'Amato.
Fashion Business, a gelding by Frankel, is owned by the Little Red Feather partnership and Marsha Naify.
Multiplier was third, and Colonist fourth. Itsinthepost, the favorite, was seventh in his second straight poor effort.
Fashion Business was timed in 2:13.84 for 1 3/8 miles on firm turf.
